Summary of contents from issue #12 (1997)
This issue of Medieval Perspectives addresses the theme of the apocalypse, a theme both medieval and modern, which was deemed appropriate for the Southeastern Medieval Association meeting in Waco. In reviewing the events leading to Waco, going as far back as the early Christian Era, as well as its implications, plenary speaker Professor William Pitts calls attention to the "Persistence of the Millennium", a theme echoed in papers presented at the conference, several of which are published in this issue.
